The Rise of Valorant Markets

Valorant markets are expanding more and more as the game continues to show itself as the next big thing in esports betting. With data providers such as GRID and Bayes having deals with RIOT Games, they are now able to share data with betting operators. This means that esports betting sites can now provide more betting markets for customers to bet on. As the game grows in popularity, both as a game and as a betting product, there is a rising interest from the industry.

We will summarise some of the markets you’re likely to come across when betting on Valorant. Trading models are continuing to be developed which means on an almost weekly basis you are likely to see new markets appearing.

Valorant Prematch Betting

Prematch Valorant betting markets are the most popular at the moment. Trading models are still in development by leading operators. Across 2023 there is a strong expectation that live betting will begin to rival prematch betting. You also find that bookmaker’s confidence grows as the scene stabilises. Compared to Dota 2, CS2 and LoL where the games have been around esports for well over decade.

To find the best Valorant markets, you will need to use a bookmaker with a strong esports trading team. Either that, or a bookmaker who has a strong esports betting odds provider. It is usually in games outside of the top 3 that you can assess a bookmaker’s understanding of esports. If you are native to the Valorant community, you will want to capitalise as much as possible.

What prematch Valorant markets can I bet on?

You will find that the list below is quite similar to that of CS2. The game’s mechanics and rulesets are quite similar which usually leads to a similarity in markets. If you have previously been a part of the CS2 betting community then you should quickly become familiar with Valorant markets.

However, because the game is still cementing itself as a legacy esports betting products – you won’t find the same eclectic mix of markets.
