The biggest esports event is on the horizon! The International (TI12) 2023 will be taking place near the end of the year and the regional qualifiers are about to get started! PGL will be the tournament operator managing production across all associated events. What is happening from mid-August will be the regional qualifiers to start determining who will fill the spots that are not covered by invites.
Since this is the biggest event of the year it is also the largest and most popular esports tournament to bet on. In particular if you are a Dota 2 fan, now is the time to brush up on all the teams, devising your strategy going forward and selecting the best esports betting site to use.
The International 2023 Regional Qualifiers Schedule
There are multiple regions that will have their own qualifiers where winners will be sent to Seattle in October. Take a look below:
- North America (1 spot) – 17-21 August 2023
- China (1 spot) – 17-21 August 2023
- South America (2 spots) – 22-26 August 2023
- Eastern Europe (1 spot) – 22-26 August 2023
- Western Europe (2 spots) – 27-31 August 2023
- Southeast Asia (1 spot) – 27-31 August 2023
In total there are 8 slots up for grabs! There is all to play for as we expect the prize pool to reach the tens of millions $.
Format
All of the regional qualifiers will run as a Double Elimination format. The main difference between the different regions will depend on whether there is 1 or 2 qualification slots available. If there is only 1 then the grand final will be Best of 5. If there are 2 qualification slots then series will not exceed Best of 3.
Prize Pool
Since we are only at the regional qualifiers stage, the only tangible prize at the moment is qualification to TI12. We will not any more about prize money until later on when Valve releases the Dota 2 TI Battle Pass.

Where to Watch The International 2023 – Regional Qualifiers
Since there will be several qualifiers happening, there is likely going to be more than one stream to view. We will update as the information becomes present, but take a look at the links below.
There is likely going to be a number of co-streamers to check out as well! We expect a lot of the big personalities of Dota 2 to be present.
