In the race for the first LCK title of the year, ten organizations are also competing for qualification to the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). Following a recent modification to the format of this international event by Riot Games, the region will be sending not one, but two teams to MSI 2023.
The reigning champions from the LCK Summer 2022, Gen.G, are aiming to maintain their dominance. Meanwhile, Dplus KIA, bolstered by the addition of Worlds 2022 champion Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, is keenly eyeing the title. T1, the runner-up from the Summer, returns with an unchanged roster, ready to claim victory.

LCK SPRING 2023 FORMAT
Let’s break down everything you need to know about LCK Spring 2023, including its schedule, results, format, and where to watch.
The LCK Spring 2023 represents the first split of the year in the professional League of Legends league in South Korea.
Under the format, ten teams will compete against each other in a double round robin setup, with each match being a best-of-three. The top six teams will secure a spot in the Spring playoffs, with the top two teams receiving a bye to the second round.
In light of Riot Games’ recent format changes for the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), the top two LCK teams in the Spring playoffs will be the region’s representatives at this international event.
The LCK Spring playoffs champion will automatically qualify for the MSI 2023 Bracket Stage, thus being crowned as the LCK Spring champion. And since an LCK team secured victory at Worlds 2022, the Spring playoff runner-up will also qualify for the Bracket Stage.
