January is a notoriously slow month for competition. It is the time of the year we see new rosters getting settled and qualifiers starting to begin to lay the foundations for the year to come. 2024 BLAST Premier Spring Groups
The major event to look out for in CS2 is BLAST Premier Spring Groups. This circuit starts again quickly after the culmination of the BLAST World Finals 2023 in December, which Team Vitality took home convincingly.
Now in it’s fifth season, BLAST Premier Spring Groups will see the twelve BLAST Premier Member Teams battling it out in best of three group stage matches. The group winners will proceed directly to the Spring final event in London, whilst the final three teams must battle through a gauntlet. The six losing teams will play in Showdown events to try and secure the finals spots.
Top Dota 2 Tournaments in January 2024
BetBoom Dacha Dubai kicks off the Dota circuit in 2024, proceeding ESL One Kuala Lumpur in mid-December, as the second major event for the new rosters.
While the main event does not start until February, all throughout January BetBoom Dacha will host a series of open and closed qualifiers across all regions, giving you plenty of opportunities to bet. In total there will be 15 tournaments. With two open qualifiers and one closed qualifier in each of the five regions. The best Dota 2 teams will battle it out for the remaining five slots. From that they can fight for their share of $1,000,000.
Top League of Legends Esports Tournaments in January 2024
Finally, we are also fortunate to see the restart of the LoL season. Both the LEC and LCS kick-off their respective seasons in January.
LEC begins again on January 13th, which sees the top 10 teams in Europe battle it out. Whilst the LCS starts slightly later, as the 14th season begins on January 20th for the top 8 American organizations. It’s bound to be an eventful year in League of Legends esports as they continue to update tournament structures! The scene is continuing to grow, so don’t miss these dates for the kick-off!
