The Gamers8 esports festival for 2023 is now underway, promising more prize money and esports tournaments than last year. Organized by the Saudi Esports Federation, this Saudi Arabian gaming and esports extravaganza, known as ‘The Land of Heroes,’ spans over eight weeks. Alongside esports tournaments, attendees can enjoy music concerts and the Next World Forum conference.

Gamers8 aims to expand in every aspect, from the number of esports tournaments to the prize money offered. The festival presents an astounding $45 million prize pool, hailed as the largest in esports history by the organisers.

Gamers8 2023: Schedule

The event commenced on July 6 and will run for eight weeks, culminating in the Gamers8 Club Awards on August 31. It takes place in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, at the NXT LVL Arena, a custom-built venue located in Riyadh Boulevard City, which was unveiled in preparation for the 2022 festival.

Games, Esports Tournaments, and Prizes

Gamers8 has an impressive lineup of 12 esports titles for the 2023 edition, offering a combined prize pool of $33.5 million.

FIFA 23 was added to the list, featuring in the FIFAe Finals 2023 held from July 6-19. The FIFAe Finals 2023 includes the FIFAe Club World Cup 2023, FIFAe Nations Cup 2023, and FIFAe World Cup 2023, with a combined prize pool of $3 million.

Gamers8 offers top players the chance to earn individual prizes. In the 2022 Dota 2 tournament, Zhang ‘Faith_bian’ Ruida, a former PSG.LGD player, won $100,000 as the MVP.

Additionally, $5 million is set aside for the top eight performing esports organizations at the festival. Clubs accumulate ranking points based on their placements in each esports tournament, with the leading club receiving an impressive $1.5 million.

Throughout the festival, an array of esports tournaments feature popular games like Fortnite, Tekken 7, FIFA 23, PUBG Mobile, Rainbow Six Siege, Dota 2, ESL R1, StarCraft: Remastered, StarCraft II, Street Fighter 6, PUBG, CS:GO, and Rocket League. Participants have the opportunity to compete for a share of the impressive prize money, ranging from $500,000 to an astounding $15 million.
