ESL One Kuala Lumpur Format
ESL One Kuala Lumpur showcases a brand new format that will split the event into two phases: groups, and playoffs.
Group Stage
Group stage takes place from December 11 to December 13. Two round-robin groups of six teams will face off, with each series being a best-of-two. The top two teams from each group progress direct to playoffs upper bracket; whilst, third and fourth place go to lower bracket playoffs. The final teams are eliminated.
Playoffs
Playoffs are a much more traditional format, featuring a double elimination bracket. Each series is a best-of-three, with the exception of the Grand Finals, which are best-of-five.
