BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 – Format, Predictions and More

The five qualifiers have now finished and so we know the teams participating in the eagerly awaited BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024. Here, we will review the format, schedule, predictions, and more to give you all you need to know for the first Dota 2 major of the year. BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 Schedule

The tournament will take place in Dubai from February 4-16.

First, there will be a group stage from February 4-8, before the teams have a few days to rest before competing in the playoffs from February 11-16.

BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 Format

The event features a very simple format, with just 12 teams participating for the $1,000,000 prize pool.

The teams are split into two groups of six, and each team will play a best-of-two against all other teams in the group in a single round robin format. From here, the top four teams advance to the playoff stage, with all teams starting in the upper bracket.

In the playoffs, all games apart from the Grand Finals will be in a best-of-three. The Grand Final will be a best-of-five. The playoffs will also be a double-elimination, so all teams have at least two chances to proceed.

BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 Predictions

With it being the first major event of 2024, it really can be anyones tournament. It is these events that are so exciting because it can be difficult to predict and this leads to some major upsets!

Team Spirit

Team Spirit are definitely on everyones list when he comes to the top teams competing. They just came off the back of winning The International 12, and were dominant in doing so. They feature the very best players in the world, and with this victory and momentum, it’s always hard to ignore them. There may be questions on whether they can maintain that same motivation, and they were often inconsistent leading up to TI12 last year, so this may work against them.

Gaimin Gladiators

Gaimin Gladiators also must be one to watch out for. They continue this season with no roster changes, and were the dominant team of 2023, with 3 majors to their name. Whilst they missed out on TI12 barely, they continued their momentum after with a second place at ESL One Kuala Lumpur in December. They have shown great dedication and versatility to continually adapt to patches and meta changes, and with their drive to win TI intact, we expect them to want to dominant the circuit once more in 2024.

Team Liquid

Team Liquid are next on our list for BetBoom Dacha Dubai. Like Gaimin Gladiators, they were incredibly consistent in 2023. They, however, have made some changes to their roster, as they bring in “33” as offlaner, to replace the outgoing “Zai”. This may raise some questions as they seek to find their footing in 2024, particularly since they recieved a direct invite and so nobody has truly seen how this roster has been performing. Since the core of the roster remains, and 33 is an excellent replacement for Zai, it would be foolish not to consider them strong contenders.

Team Falcons

Our outside pick has to go to Team Falcons. Whilst being new to DOTA 2, their roster definitely is not. They finished 5-6th at ESL One Kuala Lumpur, giving us a glimpse into the potential, but they have world-class players throughout, and this means if they find that natural rhythm, they will be a force to reckon with in 2024.
